Master of Finance and International Investment Management (MFIIM) - Overview

This programme is intended to support the government of Tanzania to produce skilled individuals in foreign investment to “uphold the pragmatic nationalism” of foreign direct investment. As Tanzania aims to become an industrialized country, this programme supports the growth of multinational enterprises. The current government’s focus on foreign Investment and the convergence of international accounting practices all contribute to the importance of an international focus in international investment management education. The objectives of this programme are to equip students with the knowledge, skills and competencies in cross-border investment and acquisitions; raising capital internationally and international tax strategy and planning; international regulatory framework for financial reporting, with a focus on the interpretive nature of accounting; culture and its theoretical links to organizational behavior; international corporate governance.

Direct Entry Qualification

Bachelor degree in Economics and Finance, Accounting and Finance, Accounting and Finance with Information Technology or any other related field with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. OR Professional Qualifications such as CPA (T), ACCA or CSP.
